Our Story
Hi, I’m Kaila, the baker and creator behind Valley Connection Bakery.
I might be the one covered in flour, but there’s a little team behind the scenes helping me bring Valley Connection to life.
Valley Connection started from a simple love of making good food and sharing it with family and friends. What began in my home kitchen, with the smell of freshly baked bread filling the room and family and friends constantly asking, “When are you making more?”, has now grown into a little business. After losing my beautiful mum, Margaret, baking gave me something positive to focus on and a way to reconnect with people. Mum loved family, food and bringing people together, and I think a little of that has naturally found its way into what Valley Connection has become.
From fresh sourdough and loaded cookies to pantry favourites and sweet treats, everything is made in small batches using simple, quality ingredients.
Because really, good food has a way of bringing people together. It’s bread shared around the table, something sweet over a cuppa, or dropping off a treat to someone you love.
I want Valley Connection to be a little reminder that sometimes the simplest things are the ones best shared.
